Camas is controlled by Italian renewable energy group Enerman and W3, a Rome-based real estate investor diversifying into renewables.

The wind farm, near the town of Maida, will be the first fruit of their partnership.  The plant’s expected electricity production is 90 GWh. It is expected to be operational by end-2010.

Nicola Claudio Cirillo,  Camas Energy CEO, says another 10 MW wind farm in Calabria, and a 13 MW wind farm project in the Campania region, have also been authorised.  Both should be operational in 2011.

Aside from its authorised projects, Cirillo says the group also has other wind proposals in the authorisation pipeline in Calabria and Campania.
