US: ‘Eurus Energy America Completes its Second Wind Farm in the State of Oregon.’ Eurus Energy America Corporation announces the completion of its second wind farm in Oregon. (February 2)

INDIA: 'Suzlon Group Q3 Consolidated Revenues at INR 55.90 billion'. Suzlon reveals a 1.5GW order book in its Q3 results. (February 1)

EUROPE: ‘Jose Donoso unanimously reelected President of the Spanish Wind Energy Association.’ Donoso, currently Director of Sector Development of Gamesa Technology Corporation, was unanimously reelected President of the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE) at the association´s Board meeting on Wednesday 27. (February 1)

EUROPE: ‘Wind industry says yes to regional initiatives, but final aim is a European single market by 2015.’ The European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) comments on the publication of the European Energy Regulator's (ERGEG) draft strategy on the role of Regional Initiatives towards a single energy market in Europe. (February 1)

CANADA: ‘Contract Win for Wind Prospect as Nova Scotia Powers Ahead with Wind.’ Wind Prospect Inc. has been awarded a contract by Nova Scotia Power to develop the Fairmont Wind Farm in Nova Scotia, Canada. (January 29)

SWEDEN: ‘Winwind Sweden AB has been established with offices in Stockholm and Karlstad.’ In order to strengthen WinWinD's position in the Swedish market, the company has launched Winwind Sweden AB with offices in Stockholm and Karlstad. (January 29)

US: ‘Acciona's Red Hills becomes first wind farm in the United States to be validated on APX VCS registry’. Acciona’s Red Hills Wind Farm is the first in the U.S. to be validated and registered under the Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS), and listed on APX's VCS Carbon Registry. (29 January)

WALES: ‘Rebirth of British wind energy manufacturing starts in Wales.’ BWEA Cymru welcomes the announcement by engineering firm Mabey Bridge to invest £38 million in a Chepstow-based factory to build and paint wind turbine towers. (29 January)

GERMANY: ‘REpower announces preliminary results for first nine months of fiscal year 2009/10’. Repower’s revenue rise climbs up 10% to EUR 932.1 million. (January 28)

DENMARK: ‘Hansen Interim Management Statement for the third quarter of financial year 2010.’ Hansen’s sees a decline in revenue from EUR155.4 million to 136.6 million for the third quarter. (January 28)

SCOTLAND: ‘Natural Power achieve planning consent on behalf of Rothes Wind Farm January 2010.’ The Scottish Government consent to an extension to Rothes wind farm near Elgin in Moray, with Natural Power acting as the lead consultant on behalf of their client, Rothes II Ltd, a Fred. Olsen Renewables (FOR) company. (January 22)
