ZeroEmission organisers reported 407 exhibitors this year, 33% more than in 2008. Visitor numbers also grew, by 41% to 25,400, a result that was seen as particularly encouraging given the uncertain economic environment.
While large-scale wind turbine manufacturers such as Vestas, Gamesa, Enercon, Nordex, GE Energy and Repower took stands at the trade fair, the presence of small-scale turbine manufacturers was also quite significant. Topics of interest across the 13 sessions on wind industry issues ranged from the state of the electricity grid to micro-generation.
