Jeumont builds second wind farm in Aude département

France's only indigenous manufacturer of large turbines, Jeumont Industrie, is constructing its second wind farm. Ten J48, 750 kW turbines are being installed at Escales-Conilhac in Aude département for completion by the end of the year. A second phase of the wind farm, of equal size, is planned for next year. Jeumont has six turbines operating at Widehem in the north of France, near the English Channel coast. The company also hopes to be the co-supplier for a 150 MW project being developed by Germany's Ostwind at Fruges, also in northern France.
