First wind plant inaugurated at St-Crépin

French wind project owner-developer Française d'Éoliennes has inaugurated its first wind farm at St-Crépin in the Charente-Maritime department of western France. Construction of the 9 MW plant was carried out by Germany's Repower, which also supplied the six 1.5 MW turbines. Française d'Éoliennes has planning permission for two further wind farms totalling around 40 MW in eastern France and is working on other projects in France and overseas.
