Plambeck joint deal for UK and Ireland

German wind farm developer Plambeck Neue Energien has joined forces with British developer New Energy Development Ltd (NED) to develop and build wind farms in the UK and Ireland. NED will have a 32.5% stake in the joint venture which has a 300 MW pipeline of projects at different stages of development. Completion is planned from 2010 onwards. NED will be responsible for project development through to planning consent, while Plambeck will oversee the procurement of wind turbines, financing the development phase, project finance and sale to investors, as well as the commercial and technical management.
