Germans build two stations as rush starts under new national wind tariff
1 August 2001
Enertrag Energiebau, subsidiary of east German company Enertrag of Nechlin, is to develop two wind stations -- each using six 1.3 MW Nordex turbines -- at Merdelou and Fontanelle near Montpellier. The plant are expected on-line this year. The new French renewable energy law guarantees wind power a tariff of EUR 0.084/kWh for a limited period (Windpower Monthly, July 2001). Nordex is preparing to set up a French subsidiary, Kestner says.
