Neighbours against real estate agents
1 October 1999
Wind turbine development plans can cause nearby home property values to fall by up to a half million Danish crowns, claims an anti-wind power association, Neighbours to Wind Turbines, in its latest press campaign. The group, founded half a year ago, has more than 250 members (Windpower Monthly, May 1999). It is now threatening to sue real estate agents who do not warn house buyers about possible wind developments in the area. The association also claims that a Dane can "take out a loan for three to five million crowns without a penny to his name-as long as there's a building permit for wind turbines involved.
