Huayi Wind Power Blade R&D Company Limited is producing an independently designed 38 metre long wind turbine blade for 2 MW machines. The first blade came off Huayi's assembly line in Baoding State High-Tech Zone in November. It is the largest wind blade developed independently by a Chinese company so far. Huayi was established more than two years ago at the initiation of CAS Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Baoding State New Energy Equipment Industry Base, and China Wind Energy Association. It was the first company in China dedicated to the research and development of wind turbine blades.
