Construction on Renewable Power Venture's A$220 million Capital wind farm, south of Tarago in New South Wales (NSW), is expected to begin late this year, says the company's David Griffin. The 132 MW project will comprise 63 turbines, although the turbine supplier is yet to be named. The development got the go ahead in November after NSW premier Maurice Iemma announced mandatory targets for the state to get 10% of its electricity from renewable sources of energy by 2010 and 15% by 2015.
