Joint Greek development start with Germany's largest energy company

Wind development company Alexopoulos Wind Energie is to jointly develop wind projects in Greece with E.on Energy Projects, the project development subsidiary of E.on Energie, Germany's largest energy company. A joint venture company is to be founded with the name E.on Alexopoulos Energy Development (EAED) with equity capital of EUR 6 million. It will develop several wind stations that have already been initiated by Alexopoulos Wind Energie and expects to have at least two 24 MW wind plant up and running by the end of the year for a combined investment of EUR 24 million. E.on Energie, with activities in Scandinavia, Russia, the Baltic States, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and the Netherlands, owns 30,000 MW of generating capacity. Its annual electricity sales amount to about 196 TWh.
