Borderwind go-ahead in northeast

A 3 MW wind scheme in north east England has been given the go-ahead at the second attempt. Hexham-based Borderwind's first application to build four turbines at Great Eppleton Farm on Wearside was narrowly rejected by the local planning authority. "Second time around we presented a more detailed landscape assessment," says Borderwind's David Still. He expects the four 750 kW WindMaster Nederland turbines to be installed by the end of the year
