Construction begins at 15 MW wind farm in Nagasaki

Japanese wind developer Electric Power Development Company (EDPC) has begun construction of a 15 MW wind farm in Nagasaki. The project will use 15, 1 MW wind turbines supplied by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It is expected to come online by February 2005 at a total cost of around ´3 billion ($27 million). EDPC has around 144 MW of wind power development in Japan, including several projects currently under construction.
