ADMINISTRATIVE HURDLES WILL BE REMOVED

A draft is being prepared for India's first ever Renewable Energy Act. Once presented to parliament and voted into law, sources say it will help remove administrative hurdles currently tripping up the wind industry. It is expected that the procedure for obtaining permission for forestry clearance -- often a major stumbling block -- is to be ironed out.
