Enron Wind indicates it is still looking for a buyer

Gas giant Enron still appears to be looking for a buyer for its wind business. In an internal memo in November explaining the company's reorganisation, Enron states it is "considering a variety of options with regard to ... Enron Wind." This is consistent with the company's recent deliberations over the future of its asset based businesses and its sell-off of some generation assets -- provided the price is right -- in a move to concentrate on its dramatically expanded trading activities. Rumours that Danish company Vestas is a possible purchaser have no foundation in fact, assures Vestas boss Johannes Poulsen.
