HEAD OF STATE STOPS OVER AT TEST SITE

Windtest Kaiser-Wilhelm-Koog in Germany was honoured with a visit by the country's head of state, President Roman Herzog. Herzog visited the test station as part of a tour of the west coast of Schleswig Holstein. Currently at the test station are four large wind turbines , one small and one medium scale.

Windtest Kaiser-Wilhelm-Koog was honoured with a visit by the country's head of state, President Roman Herzog, on March 23. Accompanied by his wife, Christiane, the Minister President of Schleswig Holstein, Heide Simonis, and her energy minister, Claus Möller, Herzog was given a whistle-stop introduction to wind technology, its achievements and set backs, by the test station's Bernhard Richter. Herzog visited the tes station as part of a tour of the west coast of Schleswig Holstein. Currently at the test station are a 1.2 MW plant, the WKA60; an Atlantis 800 W; and four prototypes: Autoflug 100 kW, Tacke TW300, Floda 600 kW and HSW 750 kW.
