A partnership between German renewables generator and marketer Unit Energy Europe and Danish wind developer Fog Vindenergi has been formed to jointly tackle the wind market in Greece. In a first step, Fog Vindenergi has bought from Unit Energy Europe the plans and construction licences for a 3.75 MW wind station on the island of Evvoia and for 4.8 MW at Lakonia on Peloponnesos. A third Greek project, a 3 MW wind station at Sitia on the island of Crete is retained by Unit Energy. "We plan to take on more projects in Greece and in other countries with Fog Vindenergi," says Zdenek Lomecky, responsible for wind projects at Unit Energy.
