AWEA world wind forecast

The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) is predicting a much greater amount of new wind capacity on-line world wide in the next decade than it forecast a year ago. The group says 48,000 MW will be installed, representing more than $45 billion in business. The countries with most growth will be the US, Spain, Germany, China and India, in that order. A year ago AWEA predicted a 30,000 MW increase by 2006.
