FIRST STAGE UP AND RUNNING

CNF constructors has finished the first 25 MW of Kenetech's west Texas wind plant near Van Horn. Once all the planned projects are completed,112 Kenetech 33-KVS units will be running at the site, 90 miles east of El Paso.

Another 10 MW was also to have been on line by October 1. The project, owned by Lower Colorado River Authority, was developed with Kenetech, the state's General Land Office and the City of Austin. Once completed, 112 Kenetech 33K-VS units will be turning at the site, 90 miles east of El Paso.
