Tender delay for 30 MW in Brazil

The tender for a turnkey contract to develop a 30 MW wind farm at Paracurú in Brazil's northeastern state of Ceara was delayed until the second half of June. The tender was to be issued by the state electricity distributor, Coelce, confirms the company's generation and environment manager Valdenia Barros. Bidding rules for the estimated $30-40 million project were scheduled for publication in May, and the delay was due to internal Coelce reasons, Barros explains, adding that companies now had extra time to become familiar with the project and prepare bids.
