New mood in America

The federal tax incentive for wind power in the United States has come and gone, but never has it returned with such speed and certainty as it did in March. The effect on the business has been electric, with utilities leaping at low cost wind and Europeans heralding the start of wind turbine manufacture in North America, a line-up which now includes companies from Spain, Denmark, Germany and France. Canada, too, is attracting attention, having just put the finishing touches to its wind production incentive. All in all, this month's US wind conference promises to be a lively affair.
