Membership of Denmark's association of wind turbine owners has fallen over the past half year from a peak of over 12,000 before the summer. The total number of individual members again dropped in December, from 10,867 to 10,611. The membership is expected to pick up again during the year, however, when the owners of new turbines join up to replace members who left the association after felling their turbines under the national repowering program. Even though membership is dropping, the total volume of installed wind power megawatts they represent in the association continues to rise, from 1516 MW in December to 1537 MW at the start of last month.
