Canada's first global clean energy fund
1 October 2007
Criterion Investments Limited, based in Toronto, has created Canada's first global clean energy fund designed to give individual investors an opportunity to invest in equity securities of leading companies in different clean energy sectors, including firms that focus on renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and hydroelectric. The company expects the clean energy sector to see significant growth in earnings over the next three years. "The drive for clean energy is a global theme that's here to stay, offering a powerful investment opportunity for Canadian financial advisors and their clients," says Criterion's Ian McPherson. "Investors now have the opportunity to capitalize on the global wake-up call to reduce carbon emissions."
