Plambeck grows

Plambeck Neue Energie is planning a capital increase through the emission of 2.25 million new shares. The funds are needed to finance development or acquisition of wind and biomass projects, the company says. This will take place partly through co-operation deals and strategic acquisitions. At the same time Plambeck wishes to see its shares in more widespread holdings both at home and abroad. Plambeck expects to install about 230 MW of new wind capacity this year, made up of 150 turbines and financed by Plambeck wind funds. The acquisition of Norderland Nature Energy last year brought project sites for installation of 170 turbines into the company, to be built in 2001 and 2002. Projected investment in them is around DEM 500 million. Plambeck also has foreign and offshore wind projects underway as well as solar and biomass projects.
