Two wind farms sold to Npower

UK wind energy developer Fred Olsen Renewables has sold its 50% stake in two wind farms to co-owner Npower renewables. The offshoot of giant German utility RWE now owns 100% of both Bears Down wind farm in Cornwall and Windy Standard in south-west Scotland. Meantime Fred Olsen, the UK renewables arm of Norwegian shipping companies Bonheur and Ganger Rolf, is pressing ahead with its portfolio of Scottish projects including an operational 50 MW wind farm in the Borders, 100 MW under construction and further projects in development.
