The contract, signed on December 23, includes the supply of 12, 600 kW turbines with hub heights of 50 metres and is worth a total of DEM 13 million. The foundations and towers will be manufactured in China. The wind station is a pilot project supported by the German Development Bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (Windpower Monthly, January 1996).
