Canadian energy specialist Boralex is about to start work on its third French project which will double its installed capacity in the country. The 12 MW Nibas wind farm, to be built in partnership with French company InnoVent, will be made up of six 2 MW turbines. The supplier has not been announced. The EUR 12.8 million investment is to be financed by French banks. Construction is scheduled to begin next month for completion by November. Nibas is in the Somme département of Picardie, four kilometres from the 4 MW Chépy wind farm, which Boralex brought into service in November. Its first project in France was the 8 MW Avignonet-Lauragais development near Toulouse, which is up for future expansion.
