Pendine planning battle nears positive end

A long battle to build six turbines near Pendine, Carmarthenshire, is nearing a positive end as long as the planning inspector's recommendation for approval is unchallenged. Iori and Heulwen Evans, with support from M&N Windpower, applied more than three years ago to install the turbines at Parc Cynog Farm. By mid March, six weeks from the date of the inspector's endorsement in February, they will know for sure whether the approval is final. An extension to their NFFO-3 contract awarded in 1995 with five year's for development, has been granted, says M&N's Chris Morris.
