Reports that Markham & Company Limited is pulling out of the wind business altogether are not true, says the company's John Ormston. "We have been in discussions with another party over a collaborative venture," he says. The deal has not yet been finalised but he expects to announce details of the new venture by July. Although unwilling to talk about Markham's future role in wind, he insists that its 600 kW VS45 technology will continue. "The new machine will still be built and sold." Markham is a subsidiary of the Trafalgar House group which was taken over by Kvaerner Group of Norway on April 18.
