Carbon credit trade and wind power

The effectiveness of the Kyoto Protocol's clean development mechanism in fostering renewable energy and the transfer of clean technology has received a deal of bad press, but for wind power in China it is producing results. A fine balancing act by the Chinese government between restrictive regulation on the one hand and an open door welcome on the other is creating a huge market for wind credit trade. But how long will it last?
