GROWING DEMAND FOR GREEN POWER
1 September 1995
Vattenfall, the state utility, is now seriously engaged in developing wind power. One reason is growing customer demand for green power. Vattenfall is to erect two turbines on Gotland, to be turned over to wind co-operatives. In Bohuslän on the west coast, Vattenfall has already installed a Vestas 500 for Eolus Vind AB. And in Skåne Vattenfall is installing an Enercon E-40 to supply electricity to the Swedish national railway. The power will be used for a local train that runs from Malmö to Österlen in Skåne.
