Bobikiewicz plans more wind funds

Bobikiewicz & Partner, a finance company based in Freiburg, has plans to launch a series of new wind power funds this year for private shareholders. Expected investment in them is some DEM 200 million, says Jörg Bold of the company. Bobikiewicz arranges the financing, places the shares on the capital market and serves the limited partners of wind projects during the whole lifetime of the wind turbines. The Bobikiewicz investments receive the highest credit rating by Hamburg-based rating agency GUB. Over the past two years, Bobikiewicz & Partner has trained more than 300 financial consultants in wind energy, concentrating on the Volksbank and Raiffeisenbank chains. The education is free. In workshops, bankers learn that wind energy is a secure and promising field for investment, says Bold. According to Luc Bobikiewicz the program is already benefiting wind power. Back behind their desks, these financial consultants are now selling stakes in wind projects to their customers.
