Dutch sell out Vestas shares

Denmark can now more honestly claim wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S as one of its own. Last month, Dutch company Jopo II BV sold its 31.7% holding in Vestas to a large group of investors, mainly from Denmark. Jopo II has been the majority shareholder since 1994. Johannes Poulsen of Vestas says the shares changed hands in a series of individual deals. None of the new shareholders have announced, as required under Danish law, that they own more than 5% of Vestas stock, meaning nobody took advantage of the chance to control the new dominant share position.
