Entrepreneur moves from sausages to wind

Entrepreneur Emiliano Revilla -- best known as the founder of one of Spain's biggest sausage companies -- is now moving into the wind sector with plans to participate in the construction of a ESP 2,500 million wind farm in his home province of Soria, in central Spain. Revilla is to provide 15% of the investment sum, Sintel, a telecommunications company 40%, Danish wind firm NEG Micon another 40%, and a local bank the remaining 5%. The new wind farm, baptised El Pulpa, is expected to come on line early in the new year and is projected to have an installed capacity of 24 MW, according to Sintel boss Juan Antonio Casanova.
