New Zealand Wind Energy Association appoints full time director
1 March 2004
The New Zealand Wind Energy Association has appointed its first full time chief executive, James Glennie, formerly with the British Wind Energy Association. With the wind market finally set to take-off (page 54), a major part of his job will be to ensure a market framework that attracts investment and to increase the understanding of how wind power can smoothly integrate with the country's existing mix of hydro and coal power. Winning over public acceptance of wind plant will be a major task.
