THREE NEW WIND STATIONS IN GERMANY

Forty-two 500 kW Enercon E40 machines are now turning in three wind stations recently brought into operation in Germany, reports Enercon. Near Ense, in North Rhine Westfalia, six E40s are in operation. Five are operated by an operator company and one by a private individual with service provided by Enercon's new marketing office in Ense. The two other stations, located at Dornum and Groothusen in Ostfriesland, each have 18 machines owned by operator companies set up by local inhabitants. At Dornum, Enercon machines are no novelty -- 12, E33 machines have been in operation there since 1991.
