NEG Micon Deutschland is to deliver 130 turbines in the megawatt size range under two framework deals signed with two developers: Mitteldeutsches Windenergieplanungsbüro Schönfeldt & Kutzeer (MDP), and Energiequelle. MDP is seeking about 60 units by the end of 2002. Over the last two years, MDP has bought 85, 600 kW or 750 kW NEG Micon turbines, says MDP's Ralf Breuer. The new deal not only covers supply of standard 1 MW NM1000/60 machines, but also a version being developed with a rotor diameter of 72 metres, the NM1.5C, as well as the new NM900/52 turbine. Energiequelle is to buy more than 70 turbines, mostly 2 MW NM 2000/72 units, over the next two years. The deal was signed at the inauguration of Energiequelle's recently completed 6 MW wind station at Heynitz.
