Vestas increases public profile by exhibiting at Tokyo's World Expo event
1 May 2005
In an effort to increase its public profile in Japan, Vestas is exhibiting at the World Exposition in Aichi Prefecture. The company has erected a six metre miniature model of a turbine in the Nordic Pavilion. Vestas' Japanese distributor, Toyota Trading Corporation, is also in attendance while its parent company, Toyota Motor, has installed a display at the Toyota pavilion emphasising the benefits it gains from 11, Vestas 2 MW turbines installed at its car plants in Tahara city. Vestas also recently installed two 850 kW turbines at Nagoya Port, not far from the World Expo venue, for the Nagoya Port Authority. Aichi Prefecture authorities are drawing attention to the turbines at their own pavilion.
