Development company to build 15 MW plant in Fukuoka

The Japan Wind Development Company is to build a 15 MW wind farm at Hibikinada Port in the Fukuoka prefecture. A tender was issued for the project by Kitakyushu City last year. Japan Wind Development will use ten 1.5 MW turbines from GE Wind Energy. It is currently waiting for final approval of a subsidy from the Japanese New Energy Development Organisation. If the subsidy is granted, construction will begin in the autumn.
