Hopes for enthusiasm from new energy minister
1 March 2001
Britain's new minister in charge of renewables is Peter Hain, following the promotion in January of the previous incumbent, Helen Liddell, to Secretary of State for Scotland. From his earlier experience as Welsh Secretary, he is believed by some wind industry insiders to be enthusiastic about renewable energy.
