The first renewable energy advice centre in Scotland has opened in the south west to provide information to the public, local authorities and business in Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway. The centre, based in Ayr, is one of six pilot renewable energy advice projects across the UK to win funds from the Department of Trade and Industry. Under the program, 5000 school pupils will receive energy lessons each year.
