A new book entitled Wind Characteristics: An analysis for the Generation of Wind Power has been published by the Alternative Energy Institute at West Texas A&M University. Authored by Janardan Rohatgi of the Federal University of Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil and Vaughn Nelson of West Texas, the 250-page book compiles information on wind characteristics into one source. It is intended to bridge the gap between technical reports and conference papers and other material not easily accessible by the industry at large, say the authors.
