Babington Smith leaves BWEA

After three years working at the British Wind Energy Association, Hugh Babington Smith is leaving his post as director. During his time at the BWEA he has seen it consolidate its role as a trade association as it moved away from its academic origins. In January 1997 he takes up a new post as Business Manager with ILEX Associates in Oxford. Until a replacement is found, Babington Smith's duties at the BWEA will be undertaken by Gaynor Hartnell, who has assisted him over the past eighteen months.x
