Aloys Wobben awarded German Environment Prize 2000

Aloys Wobben, owner of turbine manufacturer Enercon, has been awarded the German Environment Prize 2000 for his achievements in the field of wind energy by the country's environment foundation. Enercon is the dominant wind turbine supplier in Germany with a market share of 32.2% of all capacity sold so far this year, according to Deutsches Windenergie-Institut.
