Spanish turbine manufacturer Gamesa has signed a framework deal with local wind project developer Française d'Éoliennes to install 80 MW in France over the next four years. The first 42, 850 kW turbines are currently being erected at two wind power plant in the Marne department of north east France: 23 at Côtes de Champagne and 19 at Argonne. Commissioning should take place late summer. In addition to installing and commissioning the turbines, Gamesa will also be responsible for their operation and maintenance. The two companies have other projects in the pipeline for 2005, but no details are yet available.
