Down not up

Regarding "Wind keeps frozen floodwater at bay" (Windpower Monthly, May 1997). You report that Windseeker 503 turbines are 60 W turbines costing $6000 each. I own a Windseeker 503. The output is 500 watts and I only have $800 invested in my machine. From the photo accompanying the article, it also appears that the tail is installed incorrectly. The long part of the tail should be facing down, not up as they have installed it.

The turbines are indeed 500 W and it is the entire wind turbine solution to de-icing which costs $6000, not the actual machine. We regret the errors. Ed.
