Construction work underway on Meidensha projects

Construction work is underway on two wind projects being developed by Meidensha Corp, the Japanese agent for Germany's REpower Systems. In Choshi-City in the eastern Chiba prefecture, a 3 MW project is being developed using two 1.5 MW REpower turbines, while a single 1.5 MW REpower unit is going up in Tennomachi town in the north-western prefecture of Akita. Both developments are scheduled to start producing electricity for their respective local utilities in December.
