Siemens to supply 92 MW wind farm in Scottish Highlands

Siemens Power Generation has won the contract to supply turbines for a 92 MW wind farm for npower renewables in the Scottish Highlands. The 40, 2.3 MW Siemens -- formerly Bonus -- turbines will be installed at Farr, near Inverness. Construction has begun on site with the Forestry Commission of Scotland currently completing access tracks. The civil work starts in March and the wind farm is expected to be operational in about 12 months.
