Ökostrom Handel aims for bourse entry

Green power trading company Ökostrom Handel is planning a stock exchange listing before the end of June, aiming for a flotation on the new markets section of the Frankfurt bourse. "The move is part of our strategy to build up a lead position in wind energy, hydrogen technology and electricity trading," chairman Jens Peters says. "The growth figures for these markets are enormous both at home and abroad," he adds. In February, the company raised its capital from DEM 500,000 to DEM 16 million (EUR 8 million). It will now issue another 2.5 million shares at EUR 1.0 each through the stock exchange flotation and plans to spend the proceeds in the wind energy and hydrogen sectors.
