Over 1600 people attended the British Wind Energy Association's three day conference and exhibition held for the second year running in the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow. The smaller turnout than last year was balanced by 120 exhibitors active in wind, wave and tidal energy in what the association says was the UK industry's largest exhibition to date. More than 100 speakers took to the platform in 25 separate sessions, with up to four sessions running in parallel. Speakers included key industry players, ministers from the UK and Scottish governments, and their opposition counterparts, non-government organisations and industry commentators.
